Pet Photography | Hanna's 52 week project part 2

What I’m behind on my blogging? Who would have thought LOL! I figured it was time to show off some more of my favorites from Hanna’s 52 week project. For those of you who don’t know every week I do a photo of Hanna and submit it to a group that I am a part of on Flickr. It’s a fun project and it keeps my shutter finger sharp.

Week 7

Week 7

Week 7 (February 17) we had snow. For those of us in the midwest that was pretty common all winter. I’m not a fan of snow but sometimes it does make for some interesting photos. Here I used a speedlight and Hanna gave me her best on the picnic table. This photo ended up being featured on Flickr’s explore page.

Week 8

Week 8

Week 8 it was still cold so we stayed inside. I set up a backdrop and had some fun with lights and dogs. I really like this photo but I wanted a little more eye contact. I plan on trying more of this type of photo later this year.

Week 15

Week 15

Week 15….still cold. Here I was using a technique called rear curtain sync. This allowed me to capture some of her motion while keeping some of her sharp. This isn’t a great example but I liked it. Notice how unimpressed Scout is on the couch.

Week 20

Week 20

Week 20. Look it’s grass! Hanna and Miles both love the fox on a stick toy. They will chase it till they pass out. We limit Miles time with it because he is a little older and we don’t want him over doing it. I really like this photo just because it shows the fun that they have together.

Week 22

Week 22

Week 22 which as I write this is the most current week. This photo also made it to Explore. Hanna loves chasing balls so I knew if we got her a new one she would have a blast. It lasted about 15 minutes but it was worth it. I love how vicious she looks.

That’s it for now. If you are interested in your own photo session for your pet feel free to contact me.
